Creating, publishing and managing deals
Applies to: TreStack Bundles, every plan
Updated: 11 October 2026
- Editor: Up to 13 sections, live preview beside them
- Publish to storefront: Usually within a minute
- Save as draft on a live deal: Unpublishes it
The editor
The editor opens from Create bundle deal (after you pick a template), from a deal's name in the deal list, or from Duplicate. Its form is a column of sections. One section is open at a time: choose a title to open it, and choose it again to fold it. The sections, in order:
- Products. Where the deal shows: All products (with optional exceptions), Selected products, or Selected collections.
- Settings. The deal's name, block title, discount name, Active dates, visibility rules, variants, pricing, cart and low stock options.
- Style. Layout, colors, fonts, corner radius, spacing and custom CSS.
- Deal bars. The offers, with Add bar and, on each bar, Move up, Move down, Duplicate and Delete.
- Badges. Listed only while the layout is Vertical.
- Volume discount with other products. Quantity breaks counted across products.
- Countdown timer.
- Scratch-off.
- Subscriptions.
- Checkbox upsells.
- Progressive gifts.
- Sticky add to cart.
- Savings summary.
Sections 5 to 13 can be switched on or off, and their title row shows On or Off. Switching a section off deletes nothing: its settings come back when you switch it on again.
The Preview sits beside the form on a wide screen and below it on a narrow one. It shows the widget with your real prices and a badge with the deal's status. Country previewing shows another country's currency, and Product previewing changes the product shown. Choosing a bar in the preview opens that bar in Deal bars. View in store opens the product page on your live storefront: it shows published deals only, never your unsaved edits.
The page header has Publish, Save as draft, Brand colors and, once the deal is saved, Translations, which opens the deal's texts on the Translations page. The link above the title goes back to Templates for a new deal, or to Bundle deals otherwise.
Save, publish and draft
As soon as you change something, Shopify's save bar appears at the top of the admin with Save and Discard. Leaving the page with unsaved edits asks you to confirm first.
- Publish saves the deal and puts it on the storefront. The toast says Deal published. The deal usually reaches the storefront within a minute. If its start date is in the future it shows as Scheduled and appears at that time.
- Save in the save bar keeps the deal's state: a published deal is published again with your edits, and a new or draft deal is saved as a draft.
- Save as draft saves without showing the deal. On a published deal it also unpublishes it, so it leaves the storefront and its discount stops. The toast says Draft saved.
Edits to a published deal reach shoppers only when you save or publish them. Publish is greyed out on a published deal with no unsaved edits, because there is nothing new to send.
Before saving, the editor checks the deal. Problems are listed in a banner, Resolve these issues to publish, each line naming the section or bar it is in; choose a line to jump to the field. The deal's name, set in Settings as Name (only visible for you), must be filled in and different from your other deals' names.
Each deal is compiled into its Shopify discount, which has a size limit. The editor measures it as you work. From 80 percent of the limit a banner says This deal is close to the size limit; beyond it, This deal is too large to publish. Many hand-picked products and variants are the usual cause. Split the deal in two, or target a collection instead.
After a publish in the editor, the preview offers Smart A/B test, a one-change test you can start in a few clicks. See Smart A/B tests.
The deal list
The deal list is on Home, in the Bundle deals section, and below the Setup guide before your first publish. Its columns are Deal, Status, Created, a set of metric columns, Published, and Actions.
- View filters the list: All deals, Active, Inactive (draft, paused and expired), Scheduled, or A/B test archive, which opens the archive of finished tests.
- Search finds deals by name or product. The list shows 50 deals per page.
- Performance metrics picks the metric columns, remembered in your browser. The defaults are Visitors, CR, AOV, Added revenue and Total revenue, counted over the last 365 days. What each one means is in Deal analytics.
- The chevron beside a deal's name opens one row per bar, or one row per variant while an A/B test runs.
- Published is a switch. Turning it on publishes the deal, turning it off unpublishes it, and a toast confirms each. There is no separate pause: unpublishing is how you take a deal off the storefront for a while.
- Actions opens a menu with Setup A/B test (or Stop A/B test while a test is open), Analytics, Duplicate and Remove. Smart A/B test is offered there, and as a Smart test button, on active deals with no test that are under 7 days old or have had 100 or more visitors.
Each deal has one status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Published, and today is inside its active dates. |
| Scheduled | Published, with a start date in the future. It turns Active at that time. |
| Draft | Not published. |
| Paused | Hidden because of the store's plan, not by you. Choosing or approving a plan brings it back. See Pausing, cancelling and uninstalling. |
| Expired | Its end date has passed. It stays published, but the widget and the discount stopped at the end date. |
A background job checks start and end dates every minute.
Duplicating and removing
Duplicate opens the editor on an unsaved copy named after the original with (Copy) added; copying a copy gives (Copy #2), (Copy #3) and so on. The copy keeps everything in the deal: products, settings, style, bars, gifts, upsells, badges, default variants and any A/B test variants. Translations stay with the original, and the copy's analytics start from zero. Nothing is created until you choose Save as draft or Publish. Duplicating the same deal twice gives two copies with the same name, so rename the second one before saving it.
The copy targets the same products as the original. The editor warns about this ("Some of the products are in ... deal which may result in conflicting discounts"), because at checkout every published deal's discount runs. Keep only one of the two published on the same products.
Remove, in the row's Actions menu, asks Delete (the deal's name)? and warns that this can't be undone. To remove several deals at once, tick them in the list and choose Delete. Removing a deal unpublishes it, deletes its Shopify discount, closes an open A/B test and removes its translations.
Managing a deal, in four steps.
Build it
Products first, then Deal bars, then the optional sections. Watch the preview as you go.
Publish it
Publish, then wait about a minute and open View in store to see the live page.
Watch the list
Status, Published and the metric columns on Home. Unpublish with the switch when the offer should stop.
Keep a copy before big changes
Duplicate, then Save as draft. The draft copy is a fallback you can publish if the edited deal does not work out.

Deal types and deal bars
A deal is a set of deal bars: the offers a shopper picks between above the Add to cart button. The five bar types, what can be added to them, and the six templates.
