Billing, privacy, and when something is wrong

When a deal does not show or prices look wrong

The store widget is off, deals are paused, a deal is not reaching one product, or the cart and checkout price surprise you. What to check, in order, and how to reach us.

Applies to: TreStack Bundles, every plan

No deal shows anywhere

Work down this list; the first match is usually the cause.

  1. The app embed is off. Home shows "Store widget is enabled" when it is on and "Store widget is disabled" when it is off. Choose "Activate app embed", which opens the theme editor with the Bundle deals embed switched on, and choose Save there. If you have several themes, the embed must be on in the published one.
  2. Deals are paused. Every admin page shows "Your bundle deals are paused": the plan ended, a development store went live without a plan, or an overage on a yearly plan was not approved within 7 days. Choose "Review plan" and follow the Plans page. See Pausing, cancelling and uninstalling.
  3. The plan was cancelled. Cancelling unpublishes every deal, and choosing a new plan does not republish them. Publish the deals again.
  4. The page address has ?bndl=off. That switches the widget off for testing. Remove it from the address.
  5. A cache shows an old page. Reload in a private window, and clear any page cache app in front of your storefront.

The deal is missing on one product

  1. Its status. In the deal list, only Active deals show. Draft is not published, Scheduled starts later, Expired passed its end date, Paused is billing. Edits to a published deal reach the store only when you choose Save or Publish, usually within a minute.
  2. Its products. The Products section must include the product: All products (check the exceptions), Selected products, or Selected collections. Deals target products, not single variants.
  3. Its dates. Settings, Active dates, entered in your browser's timezone.
  4. Its markets and B2B setting. Settings, Visibility: a deal set to one market or excluding markets does not show elsewhere, and with "Exclude B2B customers" on, Shopify B2B buyers see no deal.
  5. Another deal wins. The widget shows one deal per product. It picks a deal set to the shopper's market over an all-markets deal, then the most specific targeting (selected products, then selected collections, then all products with exceptions, then all products), then the most recently published. The editor warns when products are already in another deal.
  6. The store discount limit. Shopify allows 25 active automatic discounts per store across all apps. Publishing past that shows "Store discount limit reached" and the deal stays unpublished.
  7. Its discount was deleted in Shopify admin. The deal goes back to draft and Home shows "A deal was unpublished". Publish it again to create a new discount.
  8. The theme. The widget places itself above the Add to cart button. It is never added to quick view pop-ups by itself, and on themes it does not know it may sit in an unexpected place. See Theme compatibility and placement.

Details for each setting are in Products, dates and visibility.

Prices look wrong

The widget and checkout use the same pricing rules, but checkout prices the cart, not the bar the shopper clicked.

  • The cart changed. A shopper who adds 3 and then lowers it to 2 gets the 2-item price; below the lowest bar there is no discount. Variants of the same product add up, and items added with the theme's own Add to cart count too, unless "Apply discount only via bundle widget" is on.
  • A set is incomplete. Product bundles and mix and match get their discount only when every item is in the cart; extra units pay full price.
  • A gift or upsell costs full price. Gifts and upsells are free or discounted only while the cart still reaches the bar they belong to. Nothing removes them from the cart, so after the shopper lowers the quantity they stay at full price.
  • Buy it now is missing. It is hidden whenever the chosen offer is more than one plain line of the page's product, such as bundles, gifts, upsells, mix and match, different variants or an Alternative product bar, and for a bar of several units when the theme's product form has no quantity box, so those go through the cart.
  • Two deals or two apps on one product. At checkout every published deal's discount runs, not only the one the widget shows, and a second bundle app on the same product also sets quantities and discounts. Keep one deal and one bundle app per product.
  • Other discounts in the cart. Every deal combines with product, order and shipping discounts. There is no setting for this; Shopify's own rules decide what applies to each line.
  • Another currency. Amounts are converted with Shopify's rate, and price rounding applies in the shopper's currency. Currency converter apps change only the prices the widget displays; checkout charges your store's real currency.

Getting help

  • Live chat inside the app admin, on every page. Chats reach the people who build the app. It is never shown on your storefront.
  • Email support@trestack.app, also opened by "Get support" on Home. Included in every plan.

Send the store's myshopify domain, the product page address, the deal's name, and what you expected against what you saw. A screenshot of the cart or checkout helps with price questions.

Finding the cause, in four steps.

Check Home

"Store widget is enabled", and no "Your bundle deals are paused" banner. Fix either before anything else.

Check the deal

Its status in the deal list, then Products, Active dates and Visibility, and whether another deal targets the same product.

Rule out other apps

Duplicate your theme, turn on only the Bundle deals embed in the copy, and preview the product there.

Send us the details

Through the live chat or support@trestack.app, with the store, the product page and the deal's name.
