Added revenue
Applies to: TreStack Bundles, every plan
Updated: 11 October 2026
- Measures: What a deal earned beyond one item at its price before discounts
- Never: Below zero for a group
- Billing counts: Only groups the deal's own discount priced, in USD
The definition
Added revenue is counted per group: the items one deal put into one order through the widget. Items the shopper added together carry the same hidden tag and form one group; quantity break items without gifts form one group per deal and product page.
For each group, added revenue is what its items brought in after discounts, minus the price of one item of the main product before discounts. The main product is the one the deal was shown on; when its variants have different prices, the highest is taken. A group never goes below zero.
A group counts only when it is more than a single item:
- 2 or more units of the main product, or
- a bundle, mix and match, upsell, gift or cross-product item in the group.
A single item adds nothing, even when its bar gives a discount. When the main item is no longer in the order, an upsell or gift that stayed is counted in full; a group with only bundle or mix and match items left adds nothing.
Like every figure in Deal analytics, added revenue is in your store currency, after every discount on the line (discount codes too), without tax or shipping, with test orders left out and refunds not subtracted. Items added with your theme's own Add to cart button, not through the widget, belong to no group and never add to it.
You see it as Added revenue on Home's Overview, as a tile and in the tables of the Analytics page, as a deal list column, and in the CSV export.
What billing counts
Plans cover an amount of added revenue per 30 days, and the figure billing uses is stricter than the one analytics shows:
- Only groups the deal's own discount priced. A group counts for billing only when at least one of its lines carries the deal's automatic discount. Full-price groups, Alternative product bars (they carry no discount), gifts and upsells that went back to full price because the cart dropped below their bar, and orders priced only by discount codes or other discounts never count.
- Test orders are left out. Development stores use the app free.
- In USD. Each UTC day is converted from your store currency at that day's European Central Bank reference rate. A day without a rate, such as a weekend or holiday, uses the latest earlier rate, up to 7 days back. The app never guesses a rate: without one, the day waits. For a store currency the European Central Bank does not publish, such as VND, there is never a rate, so the store gets no automatic upgrade and no overage.
- In 30-day periods that follow your Shopify billing cycle. Counting starts the day after you subscribe, and never before the day after your trial ends, so trial days never count.
The analytics pages never show the billing figure. On a monthly plan, after the trial, the Plans page shows it for the running period: "Added revenue" against the limit of the plan charged so far this period, in USD, with a bar that turns red from 80 percent of the limit, and the billing period's dates. Unlimited has no limit and no bar. A yearly plan shows no running figure; its added revenue is checked when each 30-day period ends.
What happens over the limit depends on the billing interval: a monthly plan is upgraded automatically for that period, and a yearly plan pays an overage. See Going over your plan and Plans and billing.
Worked examples
All figures below are examples, in a store that sells in USD. A candle's price is $20.
Two items on a quantity break. The shopper picks the Duo bar, 2 candles at 15 percent off: $17 each, $34 in all. Added revenue is $34 - $20 = $14. The deal's discount is on the line, so billing counts $14 too.
One item. The shopper picks the Single bar, 1 candle at $20. A single item is not a group that counts: added revenue is $0. It stays $0 when the bar gives 10 percent off.
A product bundle. The bundle bar sells the candle at full price and a $15 holder at 20 percent off ($12): $32 in all. Added revenue is $32 - $20 = $12, and billing counts it, because the holder's line carries the deal's discount.
A free gift. The shopper takes 1 candle at $20 with a free gift priced at $0. The gift makes it a group that counts, but it brought in nothing: $20 - $20 = $0.
An add-on at full price. The shopper takes 1 candle at $20 and ticks a $5 checkbox upsell sold at its full price: $25 in all. Added revenue is $25 - $20 = $5 in analytics. No line carries the deal's discount, so billing counts $0 for this group.
Checking your added revenue, in four steps.
Read it on Home
The Overview shows Added revenue for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or All time, in your store currency.
Find where it comes from
On the Analytics page, the Bundles, Bars and Features tables show which deal, bar and feature earned it.
Compare with the billing figure
On a monthly plan, the Plans page shows the billing figure for the running 30-day period, in USD. It is lower than analytics when some groups were not priced by the deal's own discount.
Watch the limit
The bar on the Plans page turns red from 80 percent of the limit. Read what happens next in Going over your plan.

A/B testing a deal
